It’s officially chili season! I love a chili packed with a ton of ingredients that usually aren’t a part of the typical chili recipe: veggies, taco seasoning, etc. Trust me, it just works. Check out the recipe below.
INGREDIENTS
1 lb. of ground beef or turkey (It’s great either way so use your personal preference)
A packet of taco seasoning
14 oz. can of whole peeled tomatoes
2 15 oz. cans of diced tomatoes
1 small can of tomato paste
1 green pepper
3/4 of a medium red onion
1 15 oz. can of whole kernel orn
1 15. oz. can of black beans
1 15 oz. can of sliced mushrooms
Chili powder, salt, pepper, seasoning salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- Brown the meat with diced green pepper and onion. Season lightly. Once meat has browned, drain oil and mix in taco seasoning.
- In a separate pot, combine tomato sauces, corn, black beans and mushrooms. Bring to a light boil.
- Add meat mixture to put of sauces and veggies. Mix well and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and season as desired.
- Serve when ready! I like to add sour cream and cheese to the chili mix. Enjoy!
