My grandmother passed away the day after Mother’s Day. I was not prepared to lose someone I loved so dearly and grieve during these already trying times. Later that afternoon as I was finding ways to entertain my energetic daughter, #myraeofsunshine and light on any day, she said “Mommy, I’m going to draw my grammy, and you draw your grandma.” So we sat outside with our sidewalk chalk, and while I watched her draw my mother, and I drew my sweet grandmother, with a fresh new pair of wings.
Nothing can ever prepare you to lose a loved one… especially Granny. I love this moment and that instinctual comfort our babies provide in the right time whether they know it or not.
They are definitely a blessing, these sweet children of ours.
Such a beautiful memory. Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️🙌🏽
I’m so thankful for these memories. ❤️❤️ Thanks Christina
Your sweet little Rae knew exactly what would be comforting to her mommy in that moment. You have angels in heaven and on this earth ❤️
